This reminds me of a game called "Criticom" for the PS1. It was a crappy fighting game and even at a young age I knew it was awful, and I stuck with the Tekken series.

The Karts sound like Angry bees! Also i agree that kids can indeed spot a shitty game... If a games full of glitches and bugs its just going to be beyond fustrating for kids when they lose a race because some speed booster got them stuck in a tree when they were in 1st place!
