No, you're right, it isn't a bad game. It's apalling to us fans that Atari could release such tripe based on the one thing that most of us grew up with. Calling me out for "not being a fan" was really ignorant on your part. Unleashed is probably one of the biggest travesties to ever happen to Godzilla; Right up there with Final Wars and GODZILLA. It IS horrible to most fans, It's the most widely hated game in the series. Practically everyone at Atari's Godzilla forum agrees.
